Problem
Historically, middle and high school students have learned science through lectures, textbooks, or controlled classroom experiments— but these methods don’t necessarily prepare students to thrive in the field.
Solution
Use XR technology to connect teenagers’ interests with their education. Learning and playing do not need to be mutually exclusive.
Mission Statement
Starshine allows teenagers to explore, innovate, create, and learn science by playing an augmented reality (AR) game.
Project Goals
Create a mobile game using AR and web XR that allows users to learn space knowledge while having fun.
Target Audience
12 -17 year-old teenagers who are:
Interested in science
Avid game players
Creative
Enjoy friendly competition
Enjoy sharing
