Context
XReality Academy, an online XR learning platform, approached us to create a mobile augmented reality (AR) app to support a course on the fundamentals of AR design. We worked with XReality Academy to understand their course curriculum and design an app tailored to the students’ learning objectives. Students are tasked to design a mobile AR app for Layer Cake Eatery, a fictional upscale restaurant.

Problem
Layer Cake Eatery aims to enhance the dining experience by addressing customer complaints about the inconsistency between menu descriptions and actual dishes.

Solution
A mobile AR menu to replace Layer Cake Eatery’s physical menu and create an immersive experience for customers ordering at the restaurant.
